About AmeriCorps and the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award

AmeriCorps, a federal agency, brings people together to tackle the country鈥檚 most pressing challenges, through national service and volunteering.

The Segal AmeriCorps Education Award is a post-service benefit earned by individuals who complete an approved term of national service in AmeriCorps programs. The award may be used to pay educational expenses at eligible post-secondary institutions, including many technical schools and G.I. Bill庐 -approved programs, or to repay qualified student loans. The dollar amount of the education award for a year of AmeriCorps full-time service is equal to the maximum amount of the U.S. Department of Education Pell Grant and may change year to year.

澳门皇冠体育-官网 will require that Segal award recipients show the award amount for matching purposes. If a student has multiple Segal awards, the University agrees to match at least one of those awards and will consider additional matches.

Admitted students may also be considered for additional merit and aid awards.
